A Canadian-American artist from Ottawa has made a 4-foot-tall beaver statue for the United States. It’s part of the Great Beaver Quest – an art installation initiative that honours the countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That statue, however, has been vandalized. OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney will hold a press conference on Saturday morning after suspending trade talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and announcing steep retaliatory tariffs.
