First Nations chiefs call for public inquiry as Ontario defends wildfire response

First Nations leaders and opposition politicians brought their calls for a public inquiry into Ontario's province’s wildfire response to Queen’s Park. Progressive Conservative cabinet ministers have defended their government’s efforts to fight the fires, but made no promises to deliver a sweeping public review.
Two 18-year-old men are facing 37 charges, including first-degree murder, in connection with a deadly shooting at the Salsa on St. Clair street festival.
