Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. July 30th, 2026

July 30, 2026

As we found out earlier today, Ottawa commuters might be dealing with more transit headaches in the future. According to a new engineering report, the O-Train’s St. Laurent Station may have to shut down entirely for 5 to 6 weeks to undergo major rehabilitation work. Additionally, there would be 9 to 10 weeks of single-track closures in each direction inside the St. Laurent tunnel, and each platform would likely face a closure of 4 to 5 weeks. River Ward councillor Riley Brockington joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 3. Plus, it’s a Thursday afternoon, which means it’s time to bust out those green thumbs! Gardening expert Carson Arthur joins us for a long-weekend chat.
