Convicted drug trafficker to keep Halifax-area lakeside home, but will pay $240K fine

Gary (Boo) Boudreau, who was targeted by a major cocaine and cannabis investigation, will not lose the million-dollar lakeside home he built partly on the proceeds of crime, but has instead been ordered to pay a $240,000 fine for the portion linked to his illegal profits.
The province says it has hired more than 4,700 health-care workers since October of 2023, and that almost 1,500 of the new additions are nurses.
