More than 500 arrests, 4K charges by Toronto retail crime unit since formation

Police describe the unit as creating a 'direct and consistent point of contact for retailers,' and said it also introduced a streamlined reporting process.
The province says it has hired more than 4,700 health-care workers since October of 2023, and that almost 1,500 of the new additions are nurses.
