This Taloyoak, Nunavut, woman has spent 2 decades waiting for housing and is losing hope

For the past two decades, Karen Nanook has shared a bedroom with her adult daughter inside her elderly parents’ home in Taloyoak, Nunavut. All that time, Nanook has been on the public housing waitlist, but she said she has never gone up more than third in her list in her community.
