The province is commencing a new study of Highway 138, a single-lane highway between Highway 417 and Cornwall, Ont., that's been the site of multiple fatal crashes over the years.

Lakshmi Asokan is one of 30 students in the inaugural class of the nurse practitioner program. They all have ties to Scarborough and will each do a placement in the community.
