When thousands of homes flooded during the Canada Day storms, one move by the City of Ottawa aimed at alleviating extra stress for homeowners was to waive building permit fees for repairs. However, one Ottawa couple was sent an invoice for the permit. That is, until CTV Ottawa questioned the decision by city officials. CTV’s Katie Griffin joins guest host Chris Holski with the details.
