Homelessness on the rise in Ontario while province on track to spend less, report says

Homelessness in Ontario is on the rise, climbing by more than 23 per cent over the past four years to more than 76,000 people, but the province is projected to spend less on it, the fiscal watchdog says in a new report.
17-year-old Quentin Dorsainvil was fatally shot on Sept. 15, 2024, after he and several relatives watched his brother perform at the Bronson Centre. No arrests have been made and police are appealing for the public’s help in the investigation.
