Life as we know it was forever changed 25 years ago after a series of horrific events unfolded South of the border. A pair of hijacked airplanes barrelled into the Twin Towers, turning an iconic piece of New York City into scrap metal in a matter of minutes. Hundreds of people lost their lives on that fateful Tuesday morning in 2001. Countless families were torn apart. And in a small slice of Newfoundland, Canada became a safe haven for many terrified Americans. Today, the friendship between the two countries is a bit strained, but the tariff bad blood is being pushed aside for the next 24 hours. Where were you when life changed forever?
