Why can't Canada and the U.S. do what Europe has done?

Countries like France and Germany, with centuries-old cultural and political divides, have found common ground through the European Union. This integration has significantly improved the economic lives of their citizens. So, why can't Canada and the United States, two nations with deep historical and cultural ties, achieve similar benefits?

As the U.S. increasingly leans towards trade isolationism, Canada may need to consider strategic alternatives My idea requires 3 parts to work correctly

• A North American Security Perimeter: A U.S.-Canada alliance modeled after the EU, facilitating borderless integration and the free movement of people.
• Currency Stabilization: Pegging the Canadian dollar to the U.S. dollar.
• A Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement: Abolishing all marketing boards for goods and agriculture to deepen economic integration.

Such an agreement would foster greater unity, harmony, and prosperity between our two nations; while preserving our respective political, cultural, and democratic institutions. It's time to plan for a better more stable future
