Toronto-area care home resident attacked, mother says, as support worker strike approaches 2 months

The mother of a resident of a care home west of Toronto says he was attacked by another resident while support workers from the facility remain on strike after almost two months. The attack comes after the death of another resident at the same facility in December.
The Alberta government has launched a review of Calgary’s water main ruptures and is demanding the city turn over reams of documents dating back two decades within the next two weeks.Municipal Affairs Minister Dan Williams, in a letter to the city posted on social media Wednesday, says it’s about making sure Calgary’s 1.6 million residents have a safe and reliable water system.
