Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. February 19th, 2026

February 19, 2026

Former Prince Andrew has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Police officers arrived at his home early Thursday morning to search his property and take him into custody. And while he hasn’t been officially charged, new information about Andrew has come to light from the Epstein Files, which are separate from the sexual abuse accusations he has previously faced. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Coryne Hall, a historian and consultant who specializes in Royal history. Shifting gears to the world of tourism, there were approximately 18,000 fewer vehicle trips across the Canada-U.S. border last month. This is from Eastern Ontario to New York State, by the way. And it also marks the 12th straight month where we have seen a decline in cross-border trips. Travel expert Lorraine Simpson joins the show in Hour 2. Plus, we have a live reaction to the Gold Medal winning tally in Women’s Hockey. And depending on which side you’re rooting for, you might want to cover your ears, as CFRA’s Chris Holski delivers the final call.
