Ottawa River levels show small signs of decline

Water levels and flows on the Ottawa River have begun to slightly decline in places between Pembroke, Ont., and Carillon, Que., according to the river's planning board.

Sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, a fire broke out behind a furniture store, the flames damaging a cardboard recycling dumpster next to the building.
