Ottawa's Auditor General says the city's Police Service needs to budget better. In her latest audit, Nathalie Gougeon found that Ottawa Police hasn’t properly budgeted for important strategic projects - from body cameras to the new district system. She adds that project management was also lacking when it comes to reporting and oversight. We dig deeper on this week's edition of Councillor Confidential. In a video address to Albertans on Thursday, May 22, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced that her government will present its own referendum question to voters — one that copies neither of the questions presented in a pair of petitions that gathered more than 700,000 signatures in recent months.
