Dear Ottawa residents,
As the City of Ottawa debates better transit, better cycling and walking infrastructure and implementing its Complete Streets objectives, David Chernushenko's new film Bike City, Great City will be launched at the Mayfair Theatre in early July. Bike City, Great City was made to demonstrate how the steps taken by a city to become great for cycling, in fact make that city greater for everyone: even drivers! Details of the two screenings follow.
On July 9, the film will have its first cinematic screening, followed by a Q&A with the director. The July 10 screening, on the other hand, will be followed by an enlightening panel discussion about making Ottawa a great city for cycling. Both promise to be lively and informative events.
Tickets can be purchase at the door ($7 for Mayfair Theatre members; $10 for non-members). Donations towards the production costs will also be gratefully accepted.
Regards,
Terry Kimmel, Producer
