Dear sirs,

I remain stunned by your choice to omit the leader of one of the four federal parties which have elected MPs in the House and are running full slates right across Canada.

I simply can’t believe that you think voters won’t find the Green Party leader and platform relevant to their October 19 vote, even if they are not currently leaning toward the Green Party. As the Macleans debate clearly demonstrated, Elizabeth May’s presence not only helps inform people about a Green Party platform which differs in significant ways from those of the other elected national parties, but she also helps point out some of the glaring flaws or inconsistencies in other party platforms, or places that supposedly opposing parties overlap in policy.

By leaving out such a relevant and crucial factor from your election coverage, I can only assume that your editorial function is somehow compromised. Therefore, if this travesty of a Green-less leaders’ debate takes place as currently planned, your paper (which I previously held in very high esteem among Canada’s national dailies) will lose all respect and credibility from me, and I will never again be a subscriber or purchaser of your output.

With all due respect,
