UK Ambassador Thanks Vietnam Youth who Sent 20,000 homemade masks to UK

April 29, 2020

Thank you letter for Truong Thi Linh Nhan and Troung Cao Khoi

Dear Nhan and Khoi

On behalf of all staff at the British Embassy and people in my country, I would like to thank you for donating 20,000 medical masks to the UK’s efforts in tackling COVID-19. Last week, we arranged to send your gift to the UK successfully on our special commercial flight, which also helped more than 100 British nationalists return home.

Coronavirus is now a serious issue around the globe. And I am glad that you, who are what very young ages, care about the world and have contributed to the fight against the virus. I believe that your gift is really meaningful to frontline doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers in the UK, who are working around the clock to fight against this virus and can overcome this pandemic.

Thanks again for your gift and wishing you all the best!

Yours sincerely,

Gareth Ward

British Ambassador to Vietnam
