COVID-19: Food Safety in Canada

The long line ups and bare shelves have somewhat dissipated with the retail and food industries soothing Canadians that there is ample supply for everyone. Most eateries and restaurants are trying to stay afloat by offering delivery and take out. That brings some more questions about food safety.

Farmers will start planting shortly for the upcoming season. Traditionally, they hire tens of thousands of foreign workers through the season..There have been some conflicting messages recently as the retail sector maintains we have enough capacity, while other groups worry that farmers and farming are not considered an essential service.

Coming up on the Unpublished Cafe, we look at the supply chain in Canada and see if there are any gaps in safety. Be sure to listen in on the rest of our COVID-19 Series, and register to cast your vote at Unpublished.vote
