It's not about animals at all. It's about protecting farmers from animal activists and investigators. The fact that the Conservatives, Liberals and Bloc all agree makes it clear this is just about buying votes from the farming community. I hope the Senate will give it the attention it deserves and toss it in the garbage bin.

If it's appropriate for Pierre Dorion to be fired for a negligence mistake which resulted in the loss of a first round draft pick, then so should you for not declaring the situation to new Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer during the hockey franchise purchasing process. Former Ottawa Senator owner Bruce Firestone estimates a first round draft pick is worth at least $20 Million to every team. Who is going to repay the Senators for that loss?
