This 90-year-old says an emergency call bell saved her life. Her care home has since removed it

The emergency call bell system in Chelsey Park Long Term Care's independent living building has been disconnected since October 2025, leaving residents without a way to get help quickly. In a memo to residents, the care home recommended people buy their own cell phones or personal alarm systems instead.
