Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Fri. February 6th, 2026

February 6, 2026

With job cuts looming overhead, federal public servants are being called back to the office 4 days a week. As expected, the unions are not happy. Which side are you on? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Then, we shift gears to public transit, as 39 vehicles have been stopped for maintenance and inspection due to the ongoing Cartridge Bearing Assembly issue. OC Transpo warns that fleet availabilities will fluctuate as maintenance continues, with trains still arriving at the 3-to-4 minute frequency that’s been projected. And to make matters worse, Ottawa’s bus fleet continues to experience delays and shortages. We dig deeper in Hour 3 with city councillors Marty Carr and Tim Tierney, both of whom serve on Ottawa’s Transportation Committee.
