A popular springtime event in Stratford, Ont., has been cancelled by the city to 'reduce the stress' on the fixture’s icons.

Ottawa Fire Services said in an after hours media release it responded to a fire on the 19th floor of a residential high rise at around 9:30 p.m., and that smoke and flames were visible through a balcony door when it arrived on scene.
