Quebec police issued more than 11,000 fines for insults

Police in some of Quebec’s largest metropolitan regions have handed out more than 11,000 fines over the past six years to citizens for allegedly hurling insults at officers or other municipal officials, according to internal data obtained by The Canadian Press.
A pop of Calgary-coded colours and references has been greeting passengers at a downtown Toronto subway station as part of a new tourism campaign.
