Today’s rising gas prices have many families rethinking their Summer vacation plans – and perhaps pivoting to a shorter road trip. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Julie Beun, the Managing Director of Communications and Public Relations for CAA North and East Ontario. Meantime, the City of Ottawa has just approved a plan to cut development charges by more than half, a vote that was nearly unanimous. Joining us with his reaction is Jason Burgraaf, the Executive Director of the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association. Plus, the air quality in Ontario is extremely bad, and some areas are battling massive fires on top of that. CFRA’s Chris Holski explains.
Ottawa city council is scheduled to vote on another proposal to rename a street named after U.S. President Donald Trump, who the local councillor says does not deserve the honour.
