139 wildfires now actively burning across northwestern Ontario

There are 139 wildfires burning across northwestern Ontario as of Saturday afternoon, provincial authorities confirmed. Fifty fires were burning in the northeast region, bringing the total wildfire count across northern Ontario down to 189.
Manitoba RCMP and a private diving company are searching a portion of the Nelson River near the Kelsey Generating Station for James Redmond, a 60-year-old from Alberta.
